A volcanic eruption is a spectacular sight, despite the fact that being in a seismically active area is very dangerous. Although Russian photographers don't care about anything: for the sake of excellent shots, they can go down into the very mouth of the volcano. Such a heroic act was recently committed by the Russians Lyudmila and Andrey, who published a series of photographs of the Kamchatka volcano Tolbachik.
The volcano has been inactive for 36 years, but in November last year it began erupting streams of incandescent lava. Several buildings were damaged, including the station of the Institute of Volcanology and Seismology. True, the elements did not frighten everyone: a lot of daredevil tourists came to see the Far Eastern natural phenomenon.
Lyudmila and Andrey were among those who wanted to see the volcano with their own eyes: they went to the dangerous zone with a team of volcanologists. Photographers managed to get to the crater itself to capture the streams of incandescent lava. Courage was rewarded in full: the shots turned out to be simply fantastic. Night shots are striking in color contrasts, and the full moon adds mysticism.
By the way, on our website we have already written about the breathtaking pictures of another giant, the Grimsvotn volcano.
