A slight twist, and the glass sphere turns into a weightless apple. But this transparent miracle is only a canvas for the St. Petersburg artist Evgenia Vikhrova. Hand-made decorative painting transforms a fragile little thing into a magnificent painting with a wonderful plot.
The graceful glass miniatures by Evgeniya Vikhrova delight the eye and touch the heart. Among the many works, a series of "apple" works stands out. They are all similar - but each is unique. Using a wide range of colors, the artist creates detailed scenes, which she often combines into special compositions (for example, seasons or flowers). Thanks to the combination of the original shape and beautiful decorative painting, a wonderful thing is obtained that you can admire for hours (and in extreme cases, eat it, if you have diamond teeth …).
Complex shape, play of reflections, transparency - all this challenges the master. For many years, the artist has been creating glass miniatures using a unique author's technique and has perfected the precision of the brush to perfection. Evgenia Vikhrova is an artist with vast experience. Her decorative painting has been presented at many exhibitions, and her best works are kept in many private collections and museums (including the Hermitage).
