Looking at the abundance of knitted works of art, it seems that the designers, as one, suddenly remembered that they were once taught to knit, and began to revive their former skills. The artist that will be discussed in this article, Erwin Timmers, also fond of knitting - but specific. He is called a "glass designer" because he knows how to get amazing things out of this complex, naughty and very fragile material. Accordingly, his knitting is the same - glass. However, do not expect the impossible from the master: he does not "knit" napkins and carpets, mittens and sweaters, socks and bedspreads from glass. Only glass skeins of yarn come out of his hands. Well, or ropes. Or ropes. Depending on the thickness of the thread and the size of the ball.
By the way, these glass balls are somewhat reminiscent of chewing marmalade, which makes them look very appetizing, especially if you put such a glass in the sun.
But there is something else interesting in the work of Erwin Timmers. He calls himself an "eco-author" because he tries to work either with recyclable material, or he himself recycles used glass. For example, shards of window glass - and this is not at all like working with decorative glass, obedient, viscous and elastic. So the art of the master can rightfully be considered environmentally friendly, and his site is called accordingly: EcoGlassArt.

Knitted time. 365 Knitting Clock by Siren Elise Wilhelmsen
Time to touch. The time that slips through your fingers, and at the end of the year is tightly wrapped around your neck with a warm knitted scarf - these are not at all beautiful poetic metaphors.
