Everyone drew watercolors, almost without exception. We all dealt with these beautiful paints, but I think many could not even imagine what incredible landscapes can be created with the help of them: on the one hand, such familiar, but, on the other, filled with such beauty that we did not notice if they weren't immortalized in these watercolors by George Kosinski.
Judging by these watercolors, George Kosinski has traveled to all corners of the world, immortalizing in his works the most different beautiful corners of the world - from the Grand Canyon of Arizona to Mount Sinai. Like Thomas Paquette and his oil paintings, looking at which you feel at one with nature, George also manages to achieve an immersive effect and continue the best traditions of Savrasov and Shishkin.
George never aspired to put down roots - as a child, looking out of the window of his house at the Irish Sea, he was primarily interested in those people who live on the other side of it. He was raised by Polish refugees in Great Britain, in the county of Cumbria. By the way, a girl grew up on the other side of the Irish Sea at that time, who in the future became his wife.
Thus, George Kosinski became a traveler before he even started traveling. He was sitting at home, but his thoughts were already far from here. It's no surprise that all these images, all the simplicity and beauty of the world around was embodied in drawings and paintings, which became every year and with every new journey (the first place he managed to go to was Jerusalem) is getting better and better.
The artist's works from different years can be viewed on the website of his studio.

The portraits created by the young Spanish artist Borja Martinez, although they are watercolors, are not painted on paper, but "crumbled". Instead of dipping a brush in water and then picking up paint of the desired color from a palette, Borja Martinez breaks dry watercolor into small pieces, down to grains of sand, and then lays out portraits of celebrities from these multi-colored crumbs.
