Returning from trips and long journeys, people bring with them gigabytes of photographs as a keepsake of what happened. Among them - a lot of pictures taken in the very heart of the city, where the main movement is concentrated, the brightest events take place, and the most interesting people meet. Young Polish artist Maja Wronska brings with him not only photographs. Each city where she happened to visit, she paints a portrait, depicting in watercolor not only what can be seen with the eyes, but also feelings, emotions, impressions of what she saw and experienced. The artist pays a lot of attention to architecture, writing out all the subtleties and features of picturesque buildings. She spares no time for detailing the façade bas-reliefs, sculptural elements of roofs, balconies, fences, stairs, bridges … But despite the abundance of details, Maya Vronskaya's watercolor works do not look massive, rough and heavy. Thanks to the technique, as well as the neat subtlety of the lines, her cityscapes appear transparent, airy, weightless, and incredibly romantic, no matter what is depicted on paper. Even the majestic temples and churches, noisy highways and deserted lanes, painted by a talented artist, are filled with that special romance that a traveler, a lover of change and a hunter of new impressions takes with him on the road.
