Recall that the Titanic sank on the night of April 15, 1912 as a result of a collision with an iceberg, this terrible tragedy claimed the lives of 1.5 thousand people. Some of the Balmoral passengers are descendants of those who sailed on the Titanic, the rest of the travelers are those who are fond of the story of the sinking of the giant ship. Representatives from different countries of the world gathered on board the vessel: Australia, Canada, the Caribbean, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, South America and the USA. All of them, according to the organizers, are enthusiasts who were not left indifferent by the release of Titanic in 1997, one of the most popular romantic films starring Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio!
Despite the fact that a ticket for a 12-day cruise was not cheap (10 thousand dollars), already in 2008 most of the seats were booked. True, some potential passengers abandoned the trip at the last moment, but by the time of departure there were no empty seats on the ship. Balmoral will travel from Southampton to Cherbourg, France, and then to Cove in County Cork, Ireland. On the night of April 15, the cruise participants will hold a commemorative service in the place of the North Atlantic where the Titanic sank and where its wreckage rests at the bottom.
