Japanese pop culture is becoming more and more familiar to us from year to year. Our children "bring up" Tamagotchi, watch cartoons about the adventures of Pokémon, and many of them already go to first grade with briefcases with familiar Hello Kitty faces. This funny character conquered the hearts of people around the world: today you can find not only souvenirs and accessories with the image of a white cat, but also a whole aircraft of the Taiwanese airline EVA Airturned into a monastery Hello kitty!
Kitty has a long life story: it was invented in 1974 by Shintaro Tsuji, the owner of the Japanese toy company Sanrio. Today, this much-touted brand is so popular that it generates over a billion dollars in revenue annually. EVA Air recently announced that two Airbus A330-300s will be fully decorated with Hello Kitty branding.
Experts believe that such a "transformation" of aircraft will surely recoup the cost of licensing the idea. In the history of EVA Air, this is not the first such experience; the project started in 2005, when an airplane took to the sky with a giant cartoon cat on board. Now the airline has decided to go even further: drawings, head restraints, paper, dishes, as well as lotion and hand washing liquid with a Hello Kitty image await passengers on the unusual plane. There are even pink tickets here, which will help fans of the cute kitty get the most out of their flight!
It is difficult not to succumb to the "pink-feline" euphoria, but it is possible. A young artist from St. Petersburg Damian Winnichenko succeeded in this, creating a series of postcards "Hello, Hare!" about funny hares. They might well be called our answer to "Hello Kitty"!

Fancy collages starring tiny characters
Apparently David Gilliver is a big fan of Honey, I Shrunk Our Children, as all of his work focuses on this very topic. For 10 years now, the photographer has been creating unique collages in which tiny people use pasta as water pipes, a bowl of cereal as a milk lake, matches as benches, and so on
The Japanese released a new 3D cartoon about Cheburashka and Gena: Soviet cartoon heroes gnaw bamboo and change clothes
The reincarnation of Cheburashka and Gena the Crocodile, so beloved by Soviet children and already a little forgotten in our time, took place. And it happened again in Japan. Recall that 17 years ago, the Japanese company SP International bought the rights to the cult Soviet cartoon from our Soyuzmultfilm until 2023. And it was in the country of samurai, and not in our country, that the continuation of the story about the beloved Soviet cartoon heroes came out 10 years ago. Yesterday, in honor of the anniversary of this event, the Japanese presented the premiere of new
What's inside Hello Kitty? Cartoon skeletons by Michael Paulus

Good-natured cards "Hello, Hare!" by Damian Winnichenko. Our response to "Hello Kitty"
Sometimes one postcard is enough to make a person understand how you feel about him, what you feel and what you want to say. One postcard worth a thousand words. These are exactly what the young artist from St. Petersburg Dmitry Vinnichenko, known as Damian Winnichenko or Charlie, creates. The series of postcards is called "Hello, Hare!" and tells about the life and adventures of two cute little eared eared, and for some reason, blue
