The very name of the photo cycle - "New York Through the Eyes of a Road Bicycle" - gives an idea of the concept of the project. Designer and amateur photographer Tim Sklyarov cannot imagine his life without a bicycle, so one day he decided to capture city streets as he often sees them.
In the photographs, we can see the central streets of New York, in particular, the twinkling lights of Times Square. Before us are busy avenues, attracting with advertising banners, skyscrapers, bridges … Perhaps you have never seen such a Big Apple.
Tim Sklyarov is sure that, riding a bicycle through the city streets, you can see him completely different. All photos were taken last year during many hours of walking. At the bottom of each picture, the viewer sees the steering wheel, in such a simple way a talented photographer achieves the notorious "effect of presence". Indeed, we get the impression that we ourselves have made a fascinating journey through the largest city in the United States.
