Women in everything they can compete with men - and even if not always successfully, but in courage and resilience the beautiful half of humanity is definitely not inferior to the strong. And if the Russians brave women traditionally prove their spiritual strength by stopping galloping horses and entering burning huts, then the Spanish - fighting bulls and … stop them too!
Men of a rare profession - forcados - once protected the king himself from bulls. In ancient times of the first bullfights, a ritual fight with a bull took place right at the foot of the throne, and the task of the forcados, armed with sharp peaks, was not to let the bull accidentally gore his majesty. Much has changed since then, and kings now prefer to stay away from bullfighting. And the forcados turned into … the forcadas. A change in one letter is a sign of a change in occupation from masculine to feminine.
In our time, the permanent participants in the Portuguese bullfight, bold women forcadas, go out into the sawdust arena without any weapons. There are only eight of them. Their task is not to kill the bull, but only to tease him. But this function is perhaps more dangerous than the role of the matador himself. The technique, which should turn a calm bull into a furious one, has been worked out for centuries: the forekadas line up in a row of karas, and they begin to shout such offensive curses towards the bull, which even a lamp post can bring to white heat.
The angry bull starts to run towards them, and then the first of the brave women … jumps on his head! The rest, instantly scattered, grab the beast and hold it with all their might. Nothing makes the bull more angry than this sudden stop and the constraining embrace of female hands. For a second, the sculptural composition freezes: 8 women in white shirts and red sashes, and one motionless bull … And then the sculpture explodes, the forcadas scatter in different directions, and the bull is ready for the second act of bullfighting.
Recently, softening caps have been put on the bull's horns, and therefore at least he cannot pierce the forecade with a horn. But the danger of being trampled underfoot remains. The courage of the forcadas women is still unparalleled - although it probably wouldn't be appreciated by animal advocates.

To all appearances, modern people, accustomed to a comfortable and measured life, really lack adrenaline. Even watching horror movies and visiting a roller coaster does not help.
