In recent years, the world has seen a real boom in construction ice hotels, so travelers have a huge choice of places to spend an unforgettable winter vacation. Today we will talk about hotel IgluLodge, built in the Allgäu Alps near the German commune of Oberstdorf. The designers did their best and decorated the walls of this establishment with giant ice portraits.
The owner of the hotel, Mathias Lenz, says that the original interior attracts tourists who literally lose their speechlessness, falling into this snowy fairy tale. A team of local artists, sculptors and architects have decorated the walls of the ice dwelling with a variety of sculptures so that amazed visitors can explore the rooms for a long time. In addition to the rooms, the hotel has a restaurant and a cafe-bar where you can have a good time and delicious food. Guests can also enjoy a relaxing hydromassage session, and hot tubs are located outside.
The hotel is built in the form of a traditional Eskimo dwelling - an igloo. Visitors assure that the inside is not as cold as it might seem at first glance. The IgluLodge administrators explain that they took care of the comfort of the guests: the snow beds are covered with a layer of thermal insulation, covered with bedspreads made of genuine deerskin, in addition, tourists are given sleeping bags similar to those used during expeditions in the Himalayas.
IgluLodge offers double and quadruple rooms, this ice hotel will be open until mid-April.
By the way, for those who are not planning a vacation in Germany, the article on the construction of an igloo from multi-colored "bricks", published earlier on the website Kulturologiya. RF, will be useful. Who knows, maybe some of our readers will have a desire to please themselves and their loved ones with unusual winter fun.
