Art Is a tool to make the world brighter, better, more beautiful and more diverse. Even if we are talking about not the most prestigious areas of the city, where in the dark it is better not to appear at all. It is these corners of his native Grenoble that the author named Lavalet.
France has provided the world with many bright and well-known representatives of both classical and modern street art. Examples of the latter include the Space Invader or Mr. Brainwash. It is quite possible that soon the name Lavalet will be on a par with them, in any case, all the prerequisites for this are there.
The canvas for Lavalet's works is the entire city of Grenoble in France, each of its streets and nooks. And works from this author can be found even in the most unpredictable places, at any free point on the wall, even if this is not the central street of the city, but a gateway on the outskirts.
Lavalet's art is a mixture of graphics and posters. The artist creates a black and white drawing on a computer, prints it out, cuts it out and in a matter of seconds glues it to the wall in a pre-selected and prepared place, supplementing it with some separate volumetric objects, if necessary. Banksy, for example, creates his works in the same way.
Lavalet's creativity is inherently associated with the city of Grenoble. Each of his works is located exactly where the author intended and, moreover, was created specifically for this place in order to complement and decorate it, to give it the integrity of the visual image.
For a long time, Lavalet's works could be seen exclusively on the streets of his hometown. But last week at the NUNC! Grenoble opened the first personal exhibition of the author.

Skulls are illusions. Gloomy paintings from paintings by Tom French (Tom French)

Thomas studied the art of painting in Sheffield, and recently devotes the lion's share of his work to philosophical paintings, the center of which is precisely the skull
