History knows many cases when not only dogs, but also other animals turned out to be a real friend of man. Who among us does not remember the legend about what service geese did to the Romans? True, the Russians also have their own saviors - cats, for example. They once saved the Hermitage from the invasion of rats. In gratitude, these four-legged to this day are endowed with special honors in the temple of art. In confirmation of this - an unusual the project "Cats of the Hermitage" by the Uzbek artist Eldar Zakirov.
An artist from Tashkent has created a luxurious series of postcards for the Hermitage magazine … They depict cats in court outfits, and, by the way, they look very organic in them. The postcards are stylized to resemble classic oil paintings, so that it seems as if the cats are really dressed up in ceremonial uniforms.
Cats have always enjoyed royal privileges in the Winter Palace. The first cat was brought here, of course, by Peter the Great, later Empress Elizabeth I issued a special decree, according to which the best cats were to be sent to the court. To this day, purrs carry the proud title of "guards of art galleries." They have become a kind of visiting card of the museum, they are loved, cared for and cherished, and as a sign of respect, the Hermitage Cat Day is also held annually. This is probably why the models on the postcards of Eldar Zakirov are a real example of elitism and prestige.
All images are thought out to the smallest detail: exquisite fabrics, chic jewelry … Self-confidence is "read" in the look of each mustache. In addition to the officer's uniforms, the collection contains the ceremonial attire of a moor and the clothes of the court pastry chef. Today, about 70 cats live in the Hermitage, so it is safe to say that the fate of art lies in reliable … paws.

Give me some cards in hand An overview of the stunning constructions of playing cards
Constructions made of playing cards are so fragile and unreliable that the catch phrase "crumbled like a house of cards" has long been used when it is necessary to point out the fragility of any ideas, hopes and expectations. I bet such turrets broke down without standing even for a few seconds, but there are craftsmen in the world who can rein in rebellious cards and create something special out of them
