It's nice when a person keeps a promise. Even if he promised only to himself, and even if it is connected with his favorite creative work, which can only be called a hobby. This is an ongoing art project Ed Fairburn, an artist whose cartographic portraits we wrote about last year. In the new year, a sequel was released Maps series from Ed Fireburn. Continuing the cartographic art project, the artist decided not to stop there and master new horizons. Both literally and figuratively. Therefore, now the artist's collection includes not only geographical maps on which the features of human faces are guessed, but also old maps of the starry sky.
"Star" portraits, in contrast to those that flaunt among the interlacing of highways, waterways and boundaries of settlements, against the background of spots of water bodies, forests and mountain ranges, look much more romantic and mysterious. If earlier it was possible to say that in the drawn faces there is a whole world, today they already have a whole universe, with its unsolved riddles, millennial secrets, inexplicable phenomena and unpredictable events.
You can see new works by Ed Fireburn in the Not on the High Street art gallery or on your personal website.
