The artist Zaria Forman can be safely called a hero of our time, since she not only paints wonderful pictures, but also actively promotes environmental protection. To work on a series of paintings "Chasing the Light" ("Chasing the Light") she went to Arctic expedition … This project started in August 2012, today we have the opportunity to see wonderful pastel images of glaciers brought by the artist from this dangerous journey.
The idea of an Arctic expedition did not arise by chance. The artist's mother, Zaria Forman, also had an outstanding artistic talent. Her dream was to repeat the journey undertaken by the American artist William Bradford in 1869. Unfortunately, the woman did not manage to realize her dream, but her daughter fulfilled her mother's last wishes and visited the northwestern coast of Greenland.
The goal of the Zaria Forman expedition is to capture the climatic changes that are taking place in the Arctic. With her work, the artist calls on to pay attention to the problem of global warming, in her realistic drawings you can see the extraordinary beauty of icebergs.
Zaria Forman expresses the hope that her works will not leave people indifferent, because it is art that can awaken in us the desire to change the world, act for the good of life, and take drastic measures on a planetary scale. Now the talented artist went to the Maldives, she paints the landscapes of this wonderful country, reminding that it is she who will be one of the first to suffer in the event of global warming and rising water levels in the world's oceans.
The mesmerizing realistic paintings by Zaria Forman are popular with modern art lovers. Part of the proceeds from sales, the artist sends to charity: they go to the account of the organization "350", which deals with solving the problems of the global climate crisis.
