When Leonardo da Vinci first painted vitruvian man, he thought about harmony and correct proportions of being. Now, 500 years later, the harmony of the world is under threat - and this idea was decided to convey to us by John Quigley, the author of the grandiose snow (or rather, ice) the vitruvian man who … melts.

John Quigley (John Quigley) is a world famous author of socio-ecological monumental art. Most of his paintings-messages, which we have already talked about, can be clearly seen only from a great height, and almost all of them are devoted to such pressing issues as deforestation, reduction of protected areas, protection of biological diversity … and it is not the first time John Quigley protest against global warming: at one time he created an art against the greenhouse effect right in Antarctica from an iceberg that came to hand.

Snow Vitruvian Man appeared on the other side of the earth, 500 miles from the North Pole. Arctic ice is melting right before our eyes - this is shown by the melting outlines of a once harmonious figure. Quigley laid out the contours of the "Vitruvian 2D Snowman" using copper wire and volunteers from Greenpeace. The client and sponsor of the work on the painting was actually Greenpeace, who paid for the trip to the artist's place of work and his assistants on the ship "Arctic Sunrise" (seen in the photo).

A melting Vitruvian man inscribed in a circle about 100 meters in diameter is one of the most emblematic images of the problem of global warming, which called into question symmetry human and planet … It is possible that this image will become the new mascot of the campaign to reduce carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere.
