Not so long ago we told the readers of the site Kulturologiya. Ru about the project “1000 Shadows” by a street artist Herbert Baglione … As part of this project, the talented Brazilian has already painted the abandoned houses of São Paulo and Paris with mystical shadows, after - a psychiatric hospital in Parma, now it’s turn to Frankfurt streets!
The appearance of shocking drawings on one of the central streets of Frankfurt is timed to coincide with the large-scale festival of Brazilian graffiti art, which takes place in Germany this fall. The organizer of this cultural event is the Schirn Kunsthalle gallery. The Street Art from Brazil festival brought together eleven creative groups from São Paulo and other cities. As objects for creativity, the organizers singled out the building of the Schirn Kunsthalle gallery itself, as well as bridge pillars, bank walls, churches, a subway train and even the former police headquarters. All this is supposed to be decorated with original drawings.
Herbert Baglione's work has already attracted public attention: a real "river" of shadows spilled over the crowded street. The shadows create a special mystical mood, they settled in the Hauptwache square, one of the most famous in the city. By the way, Hauptwache Square is one of the largest objects that street artists received during the festival, so Herbert Baglione's 1000 Shadows can rightfully be called the largest art project of Brazilians in Frankfurt.
By the way, the readers of our site will remember this extraordinary artist also thanks to the autumn street art "Ashes of Our Time".
