Americans, especially those who live in such a "meat" state as Texas, are sure that no one loves meat dishes as much as they do. And they will not fail to boast of this in front of other people. Indeed, American cuisine is not for vegetarians or those who fast before Easter. Art project Meat Americacreated by the photographer Dominic Episcopo, just intended to demonstrate the lifestyle of the people of the United States, their exorbitant appetites and boundless desire for success. This Philadelphian author's unique photo series features delicious creations of fresh meat and minced meat. The figures carved from this “raw material” are reminiscent of famous American people who left their mark on history, maps and symbols that mean a lot to every American. It is expected to be a whole book of characters done in the same style, in the same manner.
So, here there are the outlines of the states, and the profiles of Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley, the obligatory Abraham Lincoln and a dove with an olive branch, an international symbol of peace … By the way, the name of the Meat America art project is very consonant with the phrase Meet America, which means "Meet America" … Probably, with his project, the author decided to acquaint viewers with some of the peculiarities of life in the United States, but to do this in an unusual way to be remembered.
This project and other works of the photographer are on his website.
