The crossroads is a place where earlier it was possible to meet with evil spirits, and now - only with other car enthusiasts. What is more dangerous is unknown. In any case, the passions that boil here are completely invisible from a bird's eye view. This is exactly how Navid Barati, who lives in New York and often takes pictures of the most famous American metropolis, does his urban photography.
The heroes of urban photographs by Navid Baraty are buildings, streets, cars. People are almost invisible from this height, and even cars look like toy models. During the work, the author of the project had to bend over the railing more than once and hold the camera in outstretched hands.
“I believe that the rhythm of New York can only be appreciated from a great height: a constant stream of taxis, switching traffic lights, waves of pedestrians crossing the road, the sounds of sirens,” says the author of urban photographs Navid Barati.
