American artist Ruth Jensen an accountant by education. But her heart always lay in art, at one time she even studied painting, but then her family decided that this was an unprofitable occupation, and the girl received a "real" profession. However, today she lives with her beloved husband in Minnesota, and can finally devote herself to her favorite pastime. At the moment she is carried away sculpture, namely, wire figurines people, animals and birds. Ruth Jensen calls her native Minnesota "a quiet swamp that gives too much inspiration." Probably due to this property of her native land, the artist left her work several years ago, and now spends most of her time processing wire and turning it into amazing sculptures. Transparent, lightweight, flexible and very different.
Human sculptures occupy one of the key places in this collection of wire sculptures. Here is a coffee lover, who has a coffee drink instead of blood flowing through his veins, and a baseball player, and a tall "man from Seattle," who, by the way, also does not part with a disposable coffee cup. Apparently, caffeine is another component of the inspiration that so actively feeds Ruth Jensen, and gives her strength and ideas for new masterpieces.
By the way, in addition to wire sculptures, Ruth Jensen occasionally turns to other creative pursuits: painting, jewelry, woodcarving … You can get acquainted with the artist's work on her sparkflight account in the Etsy store.
