Residents of the Russian city of Sterlitamak in Bashkortostan should be as careful as possible while walking along the city streets. Inadvertently, you can step on Marilyn Monroe's nose or squeeze Robert De Niro's ear. Their incredibly realistic portraits are painted with ordinary white chalk on the asphalt by a 20-year-old artist Rustam Valiev … In childhood, everyone was fond of this type of painting, but over time, chalk drawings seem childish, frivolous, and even short-lived. Therefore, many artists prefer to change chalk to pencils or pastels, but Rustam decided to develop and improve his talent, and continues to draw with chalk on the streets of the city, decorating them with wonderful drawings to the delight of people.
A true virtuoso of his craft, Rustam Valiev became skilled in this drawing technique so much that his portraits turn out to be really realistic. Naturally, there is still work to be done, but this does not prevent the painted Jean Reno, Sylvester Stallone, Robert De Niro, Marilyn Monroe and other stars of the screen from smiling from the asphalt.
But not just celebrities, as they say. Rustam Valiev depicts anything on the pavement with chalk. And animals, and insects, and abstract, but beautiful subjects. So Russia can rightfully be proud of its talented and creative youth.
