Surely you have come across some cool photos from the series "every girl should have been photographed like this in the summer", but the pictures do not depict slender pretty girls, inspiredly posing in traditional "girly" poses, but unshaven guys posing as models. American photographer Rion Sabeanhowever, he brought this idea to perfection by creating a series of humorous posters called " Men-ups!", depicting brutal men in the pictures, repeating poses and facial expressions from famous posters in the style pin-up … It turned out to be a lot of fun. Seductive poses, sexually crossed legs, surprised and embarrassed facial expressions, wide-open innocent eyes … And also camouflage or tracksuit, beard or stubble, tattoos or army boots - that's what a male pin-up from Rion Sabina's prints is.
The young artist was prompted to create this project by his reflections on the coexistence of sexes. How can one behavior work for one and not for another? Why would poses that are acceptable for women look silly when performed by men? And how can women fight to behave like men, when nature has clearly divided the worlds into "feminine" and "masculine"? With these posters, he tried to show what happens when we try on someone else's "costume".
"Men-ups!" were issued in the calendar, and very possibly, over time, it will go to store shelves. If not ours, then for sure foreign.
