Do you know the joke that if the photo album is small and thin, and the photo is one and ugly, then this is a passport? Now admit, who can look at their first passport photo without shuddering, or at least without hysterical laughter? I think very few can boast of this. Strictly speaking, a person on a passport is so different from himself that law enforcement agencies sometimes look at him very suspiciously, comparing a document with a person. On this contrast, Suren Manvelyan, already familiar to us from his "big-eyed" photographs, built his photo project called Passport and Reality … It would seem that the idea that lies on the surface, take it and embody it! Even for yourself, if you often have to be photographed for documents, collect a whole collection of such photographs, and then compare how much you have changed during this time, and indeed, whether you have changed. Suren Manvelyan decided to compare what the same person looks like in the official and unofficial photographs taken in different years.
I don’t know how it is accepted in your country, dear readers, but here a person gets a passport at the age of 16, the second photo is pasted at the age of 25, and the girls are also filmed for a "married" passport, and the next photo is taken at the age of 45 … And one can only imagine how a person can change during this time. Lose weight or gain weight, cut or let go of hair, dye, turn gray or go bald, change glasses for contact lenses and vice versa … In general, live a small life that will remain in family photos. The passport will only see its modified owner.
Alas, we are not able to show here all the photos from the Passport and Reality series. You can watch them yourself on the same site of Suren Manvelyan.

Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova: Triple happiness without a stamp in the passport
They have been together for 18 years and carefully protect their happiness from prying eyes. So thoroughly that fans found out about the replenishment in the family of Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova after the birth of the babies. This was the case in December 2017, when the Spanish singer and Russian tennis player became the parents of the twins Nicholas and Lucy, and in January 2020, when their daughter Masha was born. It seems that this couple created their own model of an ideal world
Celebrity documents: what was their passport photo
It was good for Matroskin: mustache, paws, tail - that's all the documents. Not like to people: "Without a piece of paper you are a bug, but with a piece of paper you are a man." We all still remember this perky Soviet song, which fostered a careful attitude towards the "purple book" (as Mayakovsky called it). True, many do not like their passport - very often we do not like the photo in it. But it is always curious to see how others look in the official photo, especially celebrities. About this - a selection of pictures
Through the looking glass of our souls. "Big-eyed" photos of Suren Manvelyan (Suren Manvelyan)
If the eyes are the mirror of the soul, then the work of the photo artist with Armenian roots, Suren Manvelyan, can be called a journey through the looking glass. We see hundreds of eyes every day, but we don't even know how fantastic they are if you look at them properly
Through the looking glass of the souls of animals and fish. "Big-eyed" pictures by Suren Manvelyan, part 2
The eyes are called the mirror of the soul, and Suren Manvelyan's photographs show her through the looking glass. And you probably remember that series of wonderful macro photos of this photographer with Armenian roots called Your beautiful eyes. Macro photography of human eyes allowed us to look into this pool as deep as no one else has dived. And in the new series of macro shots Animal Eyes - through the looking glass of the souls of animals and fish
Movies and reality. Art project FILMography by Christopher Moloney
In big cities, where movies, commercials, TV plots or reality shows are shot from time to time, almost every block, park or square becomes a film set. And then, walking through these parks and squares, streets and courtyards, you can feel as if you are filming yourself, and a film crew headed by the director and assistants is about to appear around the corner. Writer, journalist and photographer Christopher Moloney is specifically looking for such locations for his
