You say that all artists are out of this world and slightly out of their minds? Perhaps it is. Only in the case of Jeff Ramirez from Los Angeles, no doubt about it. So, the artist says about himself that he always felt as if he was living honey in two worlds, and did not fully understand what his real "I" was. In each of the worlds, he was a different person. Such a perception of himself did not give the artist the opportunity to create his own image, to associate himself with something specific, therefore he began to perceive other people with skepticism. And a small series of paintings stylized as paparazzi photographs can be considered an attempt at self-identification, the reunification of the artist's two "I" located in different worlds. Take a closer look at the pictures. Do they remind you of anything? The author says that he took images from social networks, where users put their various photos, both successful, professional, and unsuccessful, amateur. There is probably something in them, if the images are sent to the site, and not to the basket. It was with these thoughts that Jeff Ramirez's art experiment was born.
Working in the genre of photorealism, the artist creates photographs using paint and brushes, without the participation of a camera. Sometimes the viewer asks the question: is it really a picture? Do not hesitate - it is true.
By the way, you can see these and other works of the artist on his website, although in the United States he often participates in exhibitions, exhibits in galleries and even conducts master classes.
