"The book is addictive", "You just can't tear yourself away from the book" - this is how they say about those books, from which you do not want to be distracted. And photo artist Lissy Laricchia has created a series of photographs that depict books being pulled inside their heroines.
Lissy Laricchia, in her photographs from the Get Back In Your Book series, draws attention to the fact that books and their heroines are inseparable. And, despite all the attempts to make Alice, Hermione, Wendy (from "Peter Pan"), Sleeping Beautiful, Belle (from "Beauty and the Beast") to make media images, movie characters, advertising faces, they, first of all, are characters in books … And they cannot be torn away from them under any circumstances.
Lissy Laricchia in her works depicts exclusively female heroines from world famous books. By this, the artist emphasizes that very often it is the female characters who are the most striking, significant in the books, even though some of these works are named after male characters (Peter Pan, Harry Potter).
