A sensational series of works by British artist AJ Callan (AJ Callan) is dedicated to piggy banks who live a normal human life. The author not only illustrates the everyday life of modern society, but also turns the expression "behave like a pig" inside out, making one wonder whether it is so good to "behave like a human being."
A. J. Callan was born in Glasgow in 1958. He began to get involved in art at school, then for 5 years he studied fine arts and graphics. After graduation, A. J. worked in various advertising companies, successfully applying his skills, talent and rich imagination.
Having worked in the advertising market for 27 years, the artist decided to fulfill his childhood dream and devoted himself entirely to art. According to him, this is the only decision in life that he has never regretted.
“Like any artist, I feel the need to express myself through images. This is my way of interpreting the world in which I live. It helps me understand what I see. Sometimes I need to accurately portray every detail, sometimes I let my imagination run wild. and create something unreal that cannot exist in our world. The combination of these two methods allows me to create my works - this is how Callan says about his work.
The similarity between a man and a pig is a fairly popular topic in art. Photo artist Miru Kim even expressed this idea through photography. But Callan was not guided by outward resemblance. The piggy bank is the personification of human frugality, a symbol of the accumulation of material wealth. But the author shows that even in accumulation one needs to know when to stop so as not to end up turning into Dickensian Scrooge or Gogol's Plyushkin.

Fabrice Fouillet Wonderful Still Life
The vast majority of photographs by famous photographers can be divided into portraits and landscapes. Fabrice Fouillet, on the other hand, specializes mainly in subjects, photographing the dining table, the fireplace; makes unusual combinations with jewelry (for example, from a newspaper, a necklace and … a crab), thus creating amazing still lifes. Sounds too simple, but looks very interesting
