Summer is in full swing, and the maritime theme is more relevant than ever - more and more people are heading south to swim, dive and generally relax. In this regard, an amazing collection of clothes in the form of fish scales and mermaids, as well as in the form of diving suits, from the Polish designer Bea Szenfeld looks very appropriate. Although, for some reason, you won't get into the water for a long time.
What Bea Szenfeld does fits into the resort-beach theme no worse than, say, the amazing adornments in the form of people in swimsuits from A l'Heure de l'Apéro. Although if you can take jewelry with you even to the beach (if, of course, you are not afraid of beach thieves), then in these things you feel like a fish in water can only be a very extraordinary person. The reason is simple - the entire collection (which, by the way, is called “Sur la Plage”) is made of paper.
Bea Szenfeld is a Polish artist and designer currently based in Sweden. Of course, this design project is far from her first. She was inspired to create “Sur la Plage” by female divers of the 30s, as well as mermaids, fish and other marine life, real and fabulous. As mentioned above, all the details of each of these suits are handmade from paper. Thus, these things are much more interesting to look at than to wear, but you can take risks. Unfortunately, her new website is still under construction, but quite a few of her collections are present on many sites dedicated to unusual fashion and design.

What do the card pieces and suits mean: Forgotten symbols of the most popular game
There are several versions of the origin of playing cards and how the eastern game came to Europe. According to one of them, in 1392, Jacques Gringonner, the jester of the mentally ill French king Charles VI, drew a deck of cards for the entertainment of his master (or redrawn so that they became more understandable). At the same time, he correlated each of the figures with a real historical character. True, there were no noble ladies in the deck at first, because in those days women did not play cards yet
