It seems that dolls have long ceased to be purely child's play. And although pink-cheeked dolls and slender beauties in fashionable outfits have not yet been canceled, along with them, more and more so-called adult dolls appear. AND victorian ladies Seiko Kato, and little old ladies Julien Martinez, and the strange puppets of today's hero Scott Radke (Scott Radke) is unlikely to be enthralled in children's arms. But the love of collectors is guaranteed to them.

Typically, Scott Radke's sculptures depict creatures with human faces and animal bodies. What epithets are they not honored on the net! Creepy, strange, disturbing, melancholic, yet touching and vulnerable. Look into the wide-open eyes of each of these creatures: it is so easy to read insecurity and vulnerability in them. One gets the feeling that the author explored human nature in his dolls, trying to depict the touching creatures that live inside each of us.

However, the author himself does not like to philosophize about the true meaning of his works. “I love to create these little images in my head and then release them outside,” says Scott. “They are not based on deep personal problems or anything like that. I try to do something funny, and if it gets a little crazy - well, so be it. I apologize if this explanation of my creativity sounds unsatisfactory, but if I think about it and try to find better explanations, it will take too long. I'd rather work than speak."

Scott Radke lives and works in Cleveland, Ohio. His works have been at many national and international exhibitions, after which many of the author's dolls were sold to private collections. In addition, Radke's puppets have repeatedly appeared on the screen: the last time it happened in one of the episodes of Tim Burton's film "Alice in Wonderland".
