These are absolutely charming works, each of which has its own name, as well as a little story about who it is and what character this character is.
"For all my works, I come up with names and stories," says Marina. "When the dolls are ready, they have a character, and it is so obvious to me that I want to share it with everyone." Marina graduated from the university as a ceramic artist, and it is from ceramics that the main parts of her dolls consist.
For a long time, Marina created only human dolls, experimenting with materials and styles. However, as she herself admits, at some point she began to get tired of constant work with faces, constant contact with the eyes of small dolls, and she wanted to do something else. A new turn in her work occurred after she was ordered to make dolls of monkeys-angels - it was then that Marina decided that animals can also become heroes of her works, and moreover, they open up a new boundless field for creativity.
After the first animal dolls were created, the question arose of what to wear them. The variegated fabrics that are commonly used for doll dresses were not suitable here. Then Marina decided to revise her old things and sewed clothes for new dolls from already worn things, which, surprisingly, were exactly what was needed to complete the image of new creatures. Marina is very picky about the color scheme and tries to adhere to a minimalist style, so that her dolls end up being completely finished works, for which other clothes are completely unthinkable.
A young artist from Ryazan uses ceramics in a completely different way. She creates absolutely stunning miniatures: her images of shamanokots and space inhabitants fascinate and attract with their otherworldly beauty.
