Many of us are already overlaid with sophisticated stereos in order to better listen to music and perceive audio effects in blockbusters. And everyone has almost forgotten what funny sounds our first computers made during our first computer games and in general when working on a PC. But the composer Tristan Perich does not let us forget it completely. He released an album with the eloquent title "1-Bit Symphony".
Moreover, this album, although it will be sold in a box from a CD, will itself be on a completely different medium. The box labeled "1-Bit Symphony" will contain … a simple electronic circuit with several speakers.
One has only to open the box, turn on the circuit (sold with coin-cell batteries), and you have a real one-bit symphony. Moreover, for each customer it will be different in each individual case of launching this device. After all, this scheme can work in different ways.
I would like to say “thank you” to Tristan Perich for reminding us of our recent past, for showing that even the simplest one-bit speakers can be used to create a real symphony. The main thing is to have imagination and a fair amount of patience.
You can listen to one of the versions of a one-bit symphony by Tristan Perich and watch an interview with the author in the video below:

Unfinished romance with cinema: Why one of the first Soviet beauties Tatyana Lavrova remained an actress of one role
11 years ago, on May 16, 2007, the Soviet actress, People's Artist of the RSFSR Tatyana Lavrova passed away. Her departure for most of the audience went unnoticed - recently she almost did not act in films and did not appear on the stage of the theater. She called herself an "underplayed actress" - her only triumph in cinema was her role in the film "Nine Days of One Year." In her personal life, too, everything was not easy: fate also gave her happy chances - with Evgeny Urbansky, Oleg Dal, Andrei
Paintings of the artist who loved one woman and one city for 60 years
Fate does not often favor artists with blessings in all spheres of life at the same time. Rarely does anyone manage to walk a life and creative path on an even road, without bumps and sharp turns. Konstantin Fedorovich Yuon is one of such minions of fate. He was lucky in creativity, he was lucky in marriage … And what else does a creative person need? Today in the review - an amazing story of the artist's quivering love
One to one: wooden sculptures of soda cans and other household items
Caroline Slotte lives and works in Finland. Her work is distinguished by simplicity and a non-standard approach to objects and materials. So, in a series of works under the general title "One-to-One", the artist plays with the audience's perception, offering to evaluate objects from everyday life in their wooden embodiment
Anatoly Papanov and his Nadezhda: "I am a Monogamous woman - one woman and one theater"
Everything in his life was not at all the same as in the movies. Only love was so big and bright that it was just right to write a novel about it. Anatoly Papanov all his life, until his last breath, loved one and only woman, his Nadezhda. They both went through the war. As corny as it may sound, they both looked death in the eye. And maybe that's why they had a thirst for life and a thirst for love
One million coffee beans. One World, One Family, One Coffee: another mosaic of Saimir Strati
This Albanian maestro, multiple "record holder" for mosaics, Saimir Strati, has already been met by the readers of Culturology.Ru on the pages of the site. It was he who created a painting of 300,000 screws and a portrait of Leonardo da Vinci from nails, and also laid out images from corks and toothpicks. And the new mosaic, on which the author is working today, probably cost him more than one hundred cups of strong aromatic coffee, since he lays it out from a million coffee beans
