The anticipation of summer, sea and sun is very good, but the time has come to turn to the gloomy, dark, conceptual, at first glance completely incomprehensible. Japanese Ryohei Hase creates just such pictures. Scary, strange, ambiguous, they will appeal to all lovers of postmodernism in art.
Ryohei Hase is a young artist from Tokyo. His fields of work are enviable: he paints CD covers, is engaged in web design, is engaged in illustrations for magazines and games. Most of the paintings presented here, he draws in his free time. The main theme of his work can be defined by the proverb “Alien soul - darkness ”, Removing the word“alien”, or replacing it with the word“any”. The soul in his works personifies sadness and darkness on the one hand, strength and beauty on the other.
He studied at the Tama University of the Arts in Tokyo. He gained experience in the field of design and illustration, earning money during his studies. I really wanted to become a professional illustrator, so there was more than enough motivation for such a busy schedule. After training, he was hired by Namco, one of the most famous gaming companies in the world. There he thoroughly studied computer graphics, after which he worked a lot with video games, for example, he created monsters for the game Soul Calibur 3. This series of fighting games is quite famous in our country, I remember, it was even possible to play it in GUM. He worked at Namco for 4 years, learning how to work in a team and much more, after which he realized his dream of becoming a freelance illustrator.
Ryohei Hase's paintings, created by him in his free time, are somewhat reminiscent of the amazing photos of Andrea Giaccobe. They are just as difficult to understand, creepy, but at least give food for thought.

Do you like Tim Burton's films? Such as Edward Scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. If so, then you can easily guess who is the main and constant muse of the Belgian artist named Toon Hertz. Dark art. "Dark Art" by illustrator Erlend Mork
Norwegian artist, photographer, illustrator Erlend Mork is a master of frankly gloomy, if not suicidal paintings. As Erlend Mork himself says about his work, he draws inspiration from an obsession with philosophy, thanks to which he sees everyday life not at all what it seems to most other people. Simply put, his paintings are an attempt to imagine what is going on in the head of a mentally ill person who is forced to live in isolation from the world
Both watches and sculptures. Art project by Yuri Firsanov "Watch with a Russian soul"
Either our people have such a mentality, or excessive economy manifests itself, but often in works of art people want to see not only a beautiful painting, sculpture or installation - they need the product to be useful as well. At least the hole in the wallpaper was blocked, as in the cartoon "Three from Prostokvashino". And in this regard, the products of the Russian master Yuri Firsanov have no equal. They are not only beautiful and can decorate the interior, being skillfully carved from
Secrets of the female soul in the Art Nouveau style in the paintings of a Moscow artist
Women artists, as a rule, always bring something of their own, extraordinary and sophisticated to the history of art. This is how the female soul is arranged, there is a mystery to it, and fragility, and an incredible power of creation.
