Australian-German author Adam Cruickshank is called a "general artist". And all because his talents extend from painting to installations, from sculptures to photography, and Adam enjoys doing all this in a small studio located in Berlin. Despite the fact that the works of this master are strange and specific, exhibitions with his participation are invariably popular. Probably, people, as well as critics, strive to figure out what this unusual artist is hiding, and what he wants to show, prove to us with the help of his creations. One of the most recent performances by Adam Cruickshank was an exhibition of installations called Reverse Cargo.
From simple IKEA pencils and other improvised tools, the author created something similar to traditional products of the Indian people. A headdress with "feathers", an ornamented shoulder bitch, necklaces, mats and other devices, which, as we saw in the illustrations in the books, can often be found in the hut of an Indian chief or warrior.
It is interesting that the idea to create such a project came from Adam Kruikshank spontaneously. One day he was just walking through an IKEA store and came across a huge box of pencils. Thought for thought - and here it is, the Reverse Cargo exhibition right in front of us.
