A team of five Italian artists creates graffiti in disadvantaged areas of the city of Bari. Bright and positive drawings are one way to combat the oppressive atmosphere that prevails on the streets where the poor residents of the town spend their time.
The gray facades of the buildings are painted in pure shades that contrast sharply with the monotonous urban environment. Workshop artists "Pigment"do not even consider it necessary to create complex drawings saturated with numerous little things. A much more important task is to paint more buildings in a short time. Therefore, the ends of the houses are filled with rainbow squares, blue circles, colorful abstract patterns.
In addition, a group of artists works with small public spaces. Bus stopsthe walls, shabby and covered with primitive inscriptions, are transformed, being painted in bright contrasting colors. The action team says there is still a lot of work to be done - and hopes that the aesthetics of the place can affect cultural and social disadvantages.
