In cafes and restaurants, you can often see paintings, photographs, sculptures or antiques. But here are catering establishments that could be an exhibition of contemporary art, moreover, the works of world famous authors, in the world are few. One of them - reopened not so long ago in Moscow bistro "Strelka"where in August it will be possible to see installation from creative duet Lang baumann.
About the American-Swiss duo of authors Lang Baumann (Sabina Lang and Daniel Baumann) we have already mentioned on the pages kulturologia.ru … Then we told you about the unrealistic "Beautiful Steps" stairs, created by them in different parts of the world: from modern office buildings to medieval palaces. So it would take a fair ride around the world to see this entire series of installations. But in order to see the new work of Lang Baumann, we don't have to go far! After all, it is located in Moscow, in the "Strelka" bar on the Barsenevskaya embankment, right opposite the Cathedral of Christ the Savior!
However, Strelka is not just a bar! Of course, you can eat and drink here. But the same can be done in tens of thousands of other places in Moscow. Strelka is unique! After all, there is also an art center "Bistro 16", which exhibits very famous artists in the world!
For example, the same author duo Lang Baumann, whose installation will be exhibited during August 2011 on the street in front of Strelka. This installation is a curved rainbow (though not classical, but in five colors, one of which is black) that has fallen to the ground. Moreover, this is not just a drawing, but an optical illusion! Indeed, despite its flat shape, this image seems three-dimensional and twisted.
In addition, a similar drawing from Lang Baumann can be seen in the decoration of one of the halls of the art center itself. True, there were no illusions here!
