More than 35 years ago, while in Venice, the artist and designer Ingo Maurer accidentally saw water droplets on fishing nets, which sparkled and shimmered when bright rays of sunlight hit them. A few years later, this enchanting sight inspired Ingo Maurer to create a similar installation called "Lacrime del Pescatore", made of a fishing net and crystal tears.

For the installation "Lacrime del Pescatore" Ingo Maurera uses nylon nets in three different sizes, dotted with over 350 crystal droplets. Each crystal pebble hangs in the air, forming a dazzling radiance that resembles how light penetrates the thickness of sea water and gives the impression that the viewer is under water, among the treasures of a sunken ship.

Installation on a marine theme "Lacrime del Pescatore" is quite mystical, mysterious, calming and relaxing. Wouldn't it be wonderful to hang such a crystal bedspread on the bed and every time you fall asleep thinking about the boundless sea?
