Let's take a trip to a magical and mysterious wonderland that is in a world filled with fantasy, splendor and humor. A country where, in an enchanted rainforest, every turn of the path reveals a delightful miracle of art …
Each of the more than one hundred sculptures by Bruno's Art & Sculpture Garden contains an inexplicable symmetry that combines with nature into a single whole. Sometimes it even seems that these are not sculptures created by man, but tree shoots, the unusual forms of which were taken by nature itself.
This striking place, where you can find any kind of sculpture in the middle of the raging greenery, is located in the small Australian town of Marysville, not far from Melbourne. Bruno Torfs is the author of both the ideas for creating such a garden, and the sculptures in it.
Bruno Torfs's homeland is South America, where he lived until the age of 15, after which his family moved to Europe. As an adult and having traveled around the world, the artist chose Australia for his place of residence, where he decided to create his own extraordinary garden. After five months of continuous work, the territory of the magical land of Bruno has become accessible to visitors.
What began with 15 baked clay sculptures soon became one of Australia's most unusual sights. Now the Bruno Torfs garden has 115 amazing sculptures, as well as more than 200 paintings and sketches. But the author does not stop there, and therefore the number of works is constantly increasing. The unusual garden and its equally amazing inhabitants attract thousands of tourists to the small town every year. And for Bruno, there is no greater happiness than sharing the joy of visiting the garden with everyone who crosses the line and enters the world of magic and mysteries.
Unfortunately, in February 2009, a fire raged in Marysville, which did not spare the brainchild of Bruno. About 60 percent of the sculptures were saved, the rest were destroyed by fire. Now the author is working on the restoration of the garden, and let's hope that his new creation will be even better than the previous one. You can see more sculptures on the website.
