Despite his Czech surname, artist Adam Cvijanovic was born and raised on the famous campus of Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. As soon as the unfortunate American was called: Svizhanovich, and Sviyanovik, and Tsvizhanovich … However, under whatever "popular pseudonym" he appeared at exhibitions or galleries, Tsviyanovich's works can be easily recognized by the huge paintings painted on sheets of synthetic material Tyvek.
The author explains this unconventional approach to the "canvas" simply: paint fits well on Tyvek-base, and it is also lightweight, so large paintings are easy to transfer from place to place. By the way, lightness and unconventionality are inherent not only in the choice of material for coloring. The works of Adam Cvijanovic are also full of some "airiness", albeit very peculiar. It seems that this author belongs to the category of those who are inspired by meteorological phenomena and natural disasters. After all, it is obvious that earthquakes, hurricanes and explosions were not done here.
Today the talented artist lives and works in New York, belongs to the creative movement "America Today", over which the curator of the gallery of the same name Charles Saatchi, and continues to create his enchanting flying pictures. In which someone prefers to see a creative mess in the head of a single painter, someone - a symbolic end of the world … And someone definitely likes all this flying mess, since it is not bloody at all, as often explosions and earthquakes are depicted, but positive, funny and slightly naive.
