The birth of cubs in a zoo is rare. Animals in captivity reproduce worse than in freedom. But sometimes natural instincts take their toll, and females manage to endure and give birth to a baby. This time, a miracle of nature took place at the Munich zoo "Hellabrunn" on December 9, 2013. It was there that the polar twin bear cubs were born.

At first, zoo workers tried not to show newborns to the public, fearing for their safety and health. But on March 19, the doors of the Hellabrunn Zoo opened for the press, and photographers managed to capture the already grown bear cubs on film. The cubs played, dined, slept, ignoring the flashes of cameras and the enthusiastic glances of visitors.

The bear mother also favorably perceived the increased attention of the public and even posed for photographers in her own way. The photo session turned out to be so touching and natural that it instantly flew around the pages of many famous blogs.

After observing the friendly family of polar bears, all spectators came to a common opinion: the maternal instinct in animals is developed no worse than in humans. This is evidenced by the incredible tenderness with which the mother bear treats the cubs. By the way, one of our past reviews talked about maternal instincts in other animals: cats, monkeys, tigers, hippos and many others.
