How often do you look at the barcode on the packaging when making a purchase? I bet almost never - well, what can these black stripes with numbers give us? However, if you happen to shop in Japan, pay more attention to these stripes with numbers. It may very well be that they will interest you and even amuse or delight you.
Once we wrote about the Japanese company D-barcode, which specializes in creating creative barcodes, but since then the corporation has expanded and competitors have appeared. And in general, creative barcodes have become not just a pleasant surprise in Japanese supermarkets - many companies consider it their duty to provide their products with such a funny picture instead of dull black and white lines.
Of course, these are all only sketches and renderings, which, perhaps, have not yet made it onto packaging, bags and other goods. It would be curious to see live photos with creative barcodes, so if someone has the opportunity to shoot one of these creations, share the photo with us:)
