If you open articles on the American Indians on the Wikipedia website, you can see there photographs of the early 20th century. There are very few modern photographs. And not because the Indians themselves are gone, but because today's photographers, apparently, are not interested in them. But here are British photographers Pedro Aguilar and Mike diver created an impressive series of photographs called Native American (so in the United States it is now customary to call the Indians).
Around us live a huge number of original and extraordinary people, whom we just used to not notice. Whole nations seem to live outside the borders of Civilization, albeit inside it. In our latitudes, these are gypsies, and in the United States of America - Indians.
And the life of Gypsies, Indians and other peoples leading a way of life that is very different from what we are used to is an inexhaustible storehouse of knowledge, types and culture. And only now people of art began to rediscover them for themselves and for the world.
An example is at least a series of photos of Gipsy Kings Ghettographik Portraits by the Spaniard Bruno Paixao, where he showed the world modern gypsies, or Native American from the British Pedro Aguilar and Mike Diver, who tell us about the American Indians.
Photos by Pedro Aguilar and Mike Diver show the modern American Indians as they are today. Of course, there are still a number of old people and very few young people who remember their cultural origins and honor them, but the vast majority of Indians have long switched to English and American culture, while not in the best version of both.
In the USA, Spain and other countries, whole peoples and cultures are dying, wiped off the face of the Earth, and no one cares about this. This is what Pedro Aguilar, Mike Diver, Bruno Paixao and other people who care about it tell us. And who knows, maybe in a few decades our descendants will know about the same Indians only from photographs from the Native American series and films based on the works of Fenimore Cooper.

How the Indians were treated and what diseases they did not know before the arrival of the Europeans
It is not easy to survive in the prairies and forests of North America. Before the arrival of Europeans, local peoples did not know the flu, smallpox and chickenpox, but they faced bacterial infections, wounds and the need to help women in labor. So they had to develop their medicine, despite the fact that they did not have too many opportunities for this
What is point Nemo, why they could not find it for so long, and when they found it, they were scared
The most surprising fact about this conditional point in the World Ocean is probably the very fact of its existence. It was possible to calculate the ocean pole of this inaccessibility thanks to the calculations of the engineer Hvoja Lukatele from Croatia. According to them, point Nemo is closer to people in orbit than on Earth. It is Lukatele who is considered the discoverer of point Nemo
What they ate, what they traded, and how the Indians lived before Columbus: Stereotypes versus facts
Because of adventure films, cute quotes on the Internet, and books written by colonialists during the days of active colonization, the average European perception of the indigenous people of America is rather stereotyped. Even realizing that South and North America differed from each other in history, many are very vague about what these differences looked like. It seems that in the south they ate potatoes and corn, and in the north - game meat … Right?

Where they dug clay, where they baked the royal bread, and where they planted gardens: What the center of Moscow looked like in the Middle Ages
Walking around the center of Moscow, it is interesting to think about what was in this or that place in the Middle Ages. And if you know the true history of a particular area or street and imagine who and how lived here several centuries ago, the names of the areas and the whole view are perceived in a completely different way. And you already look at the Moscow center with completely different eyes
