In childhood, everyone cut out all kinds of figures from paper with scissors, made various art cutouts, applications. But over time, we forgot about this art form. But the French artist Mathilde Nivet turned the creation of paper sculptures into her main activity.
And she began to engage in this hobby, which later grew into work, of course, as a child. Then she began to illustrate books, create creative stickers, and eventually came to what she is doing now - creating sculptures out of paper.
Now the range of application of the talents of Matilda Nivet is huge. She is engaged in the creation of interior items, and all the same illustration of books, and advertising, and the design of shelves and entire stores, and even the creation of wallpaper.
For example, one of her latest works is 3D wallpaper for apartments and offices. It would be interesting to look at the room pasted over with them through 3D glasses.
And the material is the same as in childhood - multi-colored paper, scissors and glue. But Matilda Nivet's understanding of this process is now an adult. She knows what she needs, what she wants to achieve, how to achieve it, and why did she even undertake all this!
