Chinese painting, whether landscape, portrait or still life, always evokes delight and admiration. Indeed, Chinese painters are real shamans, whose magic makes contemplators gaze as if enchanted at the pictures from which it is impossible to tear themselves away. The landscapes painted by the Chinese artist are also saturated with this magic. Chunming Yu … This artist began to paint in his distant youth, in order to somehow brighten up the gray everyday life, since at that time he had to work hard, earning his own food. After a working day, only the easel and paints brought him joy. Then he began to study painting, after the end of the Cultural Revolution he entered the Chinese Academy of Arts in Guangzhou, which he successfully graduated, becoming one of the most promising painters. Even then, the teachers noticed the artist's individual style, which he then lovingly honed for years.
Chunming Yu's favorite painting subjects are ancient Chinese buildings, interesting buildings, and unusual architecture. But after the artist moved to Los Angeles, where he was invited to teach, another theme was added to architecture. Now the author paints stunning landscapes in the spirit of the best traditions of the East and West, skillfully combining the two sides of the world, but never mixing them up.
Many of the artist's paintings are in Beijing, at the China National Museum of Fine Arts. Also, Chunming Yu's work can be viewed in his online gallery.
