To create works of art, we can sometimes be inspired by even the most ordinary things that any of us encounters on a daily basis. Take car tires, for example. We see them very often, but somehow we cannot connect them with art. But the Korean author Ji Yong Ho saw in the tires the basis for his sculptures - and brilliantly turned this idea into reality.

Ji Yong Ho clearly demonstrates to us the possibilities of transforming such unsightly material as car rubber into intricate works of art. With the light hand of the master, the used tires turn into unicorns, sphinxes, buffaloes, sharks and other creatures - real and not so much.

The author himself calls his works "mutants", since rubber for him is a symbol of mutation. “This product is of natural origin, because the rubber is based on the white sap of plants,” says the sculptor. - But in the production process, it changes. The color turns black and the appearance is terrible. " With his creativity, Ji Yong Ho makes another mutation, but this time towards the beautiful.

The author also says that he experimented with different materials, but chose rubber for his sculptures, because it is "very flexible, similar to skin and muscle." The sizes of his rubber pieces range from a dog with a height of 30 centimeters to a three-meter shark.
