"Photography is my art, my music, my poetry, my voice," says the American photographer Kenji Croman … As a happy inhabitant of the Hawaiian Islands, he does not have to go far for ideas for creativity, because the muses lie in wait for him everywhere, one has only to go to the coast and gaze thoughtfully into the distance, watching the ocean. It is the powerful force of the ocean waves, which can be both gentle and rough, both soft and neat, and destructive, bringing chaos and death, that serves as the main source of inspiration for the author. Carried away by photography at a fairly young age, Kenji Kroman quickly realized how lucky he was to be born on the ocean shore. This is the very element with which you will not get bored: the ocean is never the same, and even the most exalted young lady can envy its emotionality. Having tried a lot of options and approaches to photographing this element, Kenji Kroman came to the only true conclusion for himself - waves are his passion and tenderness. Through these images he will be able to express himself as a photographer and artist in love with the ocean.
Looking at the incredible photographs of the author, it is easy to guess that he spends most of his life on the coast, and devotes all his time to studying the ocean. So, every morning the photographer gets up at half past five in the morning and goes to the ocean shore to immerse himself in work. And sometimes in the literal sense of the word. And there, standing up to his neck in the water, Kenji Croman spends a lot of time, taking about 700 photos, in order to get one or two truly unique pictures. And the ocean pays him back, thanks to perseverance, dedication, curiosity and increased attention. Therefore, in Kenji Croman's photographs, ocean waves appear before us as none of us has ever seen them. They seem to be deliberately trying to bend more gracefully, flirting and showing off in front of the photographer's lens. Hardly anyone else can capture waves so different and so picturesque.
A photographer and traveler, Kenji Kroman had the opportunity to visit dozens of countries and experience a new world of beauty. And make sure that you don't have to go far in search of beauty, you just have to look around and be extremely attentive. The author's amazing photographs can be seen on his website.

Earthly Paradise in the Middle of the Indian Ocean: How the Island of Socotra looks like a scenery for a fairy tale
Socotra is a Yemeni-owned island located in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Somalia. It is one of the most isolated islands of continental (non-volcanic) origin. Many millions of years ago, it broke away from the mainland, and this event preserved the unique nature of the island. Its flora and fauna turned out to be, as it were, "conserved" from any external influence. The island does not look like a fragment of the earth's land, but like a fragment of another planet. Everything seen there often does not resemble at all

Underwater photography that doesn't look like underwater photography: a photography project from Adeline Mai
We have written about underwater photography more than once, but the peculiarity of this series of photographs, created by 20-year-old girl-photographer Adeline Mai, is that the water in it does not look like water. Rather, they are people immersed in the ether, who appear before us in an extreme degree of purity and harmlessness
