Japanese artist Abe Toshiyuki creates stunning watercolors filled with a special inner light. Perhaps he can be called a real singer of nature, because his track record is almost exclusively landscapes.
The Japanese have always shown deep love and respect for nature. This can be clearly seen in painting. Paintings by Japanese masters often reflect the fragility and beauty of the surrounding world. To a large extent, this also applies to the realistic landscapes of Abe Toshiyuki. “In my works, I focus on simple things, I try to reflect all the nuances inherent in them,” says the artist.
Toshiyuki says that when creating another watercolor, he is very careful in choosing a nature. “I avoid painting landscapes that are too hackneyed,” explains the artist, “so as not to make the audience feel like déjà vu. It is important for me that art deeply resonates in the souls of people, affects them emotionally."
Abe was born in Japan in 1959. He studied art at the National University, and then devoted about twenty years of his life to teaching. Only in 2008, Toshiyuki gave up his former profession to come to grips with painting.
“I got ambitions, I always wanted to become an artist,” Toshiyuki shares, “that's why I left teaching, focusing on painting. Today I work a lot, I have several personal exhibitions in Japan behind me, and for my work I have repeatedly received prestigious awards."
Another famous artist, a Russian, also managed to tame watercolors. Arusha Votsmush … His incredible watercolor landscapes talk about the beauty and diversity of the surrounding world.
