- says a couple of photographers (Katarzyna and Marcin Owczarek), who created a strange world full of surreal images, where anthropomorphic animals live their own special life, playing poker and not only.
The reality they created resembles shots from a film, in which everything is too confused and incomprehensible, but at the same time it is very logical. On the one hand, the duo's creativity is the embodiment of their fantasies, and on the other, a certain message with echoes of shamanism, Gnosticism, alchemy, symbolism, anthropology and lines from the Tibetan Book of the Dead, which the authors like to interpret and study. Each of their creations forms a complex composition that combines human and animal nature, which is hidden inside each of us, and vice versa. And the longer you look at the pictures, the more you begin to think about who is the key figure after all - people under the mask of an animal, or animals with a human soul? Their works bring together everything that is sometimes simply impossible to put together in one frame. This is both a subtle psychology and an attempt to get to the bottom of the essence, finding oneself among hundreds of such identical, but at the same time completely different people. Take a closer look, and you will surely understand everything that Katarzyna and her husband wanted to say.
Logan Zillmer, not yielding to his imagination, created a series of works, where each shot is so similar to frames from an art house film.
