What has become the home of the legendary drug lord Escobar

The name of Pablo Escobar is known to many, since in history he is considered the most famous drug lord. Immediately after the birth of his daughter in 1984 in the north of Colombia in the city of Guatape, he decided to purchase a luxurious mansion and give it the name "La Manuela" in honor of his daughter. In those days, it was an amazing huge mansion, which is now in ruins.

The villa covers an area of 8 hectares, which fell into disrepair immediately after the death of the drug lord. Despite the fact that this object is one of the elite real estate, no one was interested in it. All work during the construction of the estate was carried out responsibly. To give Pablo enough room to hide drugs and money, double walls were erected. The villa could boast of a guest house, a swimming pool, a tennis court, a marina with beautiful views of Lake Peñol and a football field, used, if necessary, for helicopter landing and takeoff.

Escobar was gunned down by police in 1993. Even before this event, the mansion "La Manuela" was seriously damaged by the explosion. This explosion was carried out by the enemies of the famous drug lord - members of the Colombian armed group Los Pepes. The damage turned out to be significant and this is not surprising, because about 200 kilograms of TNT was laid in one of the premises of the villa. Basically, after such events, only auxiliary buildings remained.

For a long time, no one was interested in the fate of the villa, only rare vandals dropped in here to paint and paint the preserved walls. For several years it was impossible to get into the territory of this mansion. Now this area has become a great place to play paintball. For the day of the game, they ask 170 thousand pesos per person, which is approximately 3700 rubles. To make the leisure of paintball players more fun, a bar was opened on the territory of the mansion where you can have a drink and a snack.

Everything that could survive the explosion was plundered. There were people who even smashed the walls in the hope of finding money, cocaine, and possibly some other Escobar's jewelry in the space between the walls. Now all that remains of the estate and its territory belong to the state, with which the drug lord's butler has been suing for many years, claiming that he has the right to own this property, since he has been caring for it for 20 years.
