It is hard to think of any other use for brown packing tape other than for packing a variety of items in boxes and bags, from food to household and office equipment. But difficult does not mean impossible. So, someone creates sculptures out of scotch tape, and an American artist of Ukrainian origin Mark Khaisman draws stunning paintings for them on glass panels.

The style in which the Ukrainian designer works is called Tape art, but he, like every self-respecting master, has his own techniques and secrets. So, Mark Khaisman puts a picture or a photograph under a glass "canvas", and then "processes" it on top with strips of brown tape so that the result is such an image.

The author does not cover the technique of sticking tape. He only says that he works according to a special scheme, proven over the years. According to the scheme, the sticky plates are arranged in a special order, forming a play of light and shadow, creating highlights and dark areas. This gives the work realism, volume, and, well, some kind of variety of colors. True, the author does not always manage to "copy" the original work with scotch tape, but after all, there is a hole in the old woman, Heisman smiles, and starts a new picture, not paying attention to the failure.
