Beautiful pictures of nature, fleeting, like the flap of a butterfly's wings, freeze in the works of the talented Russian artist Vadim Zaritsky … The secret of success, like everything ingenious, is simple and complex at the same time: master "draws" not with paints and not with a pencil, but with … multi-colored wings of moths.
In the collection of works by Vadim Zaritsky you can find both colorful landscapes and still lifes and portraits of famous artists and political figures. It should immediately be noted that for his unusual paintings the artist uses only those butterflies that die their own death in entomological centers, as well as wings that catchers consider "marriage" (broken or faded, they can easily be used in paintings, but, alas are not of interest to collectors). The idea to create canvases from such an unusual material came to Vadim Zaritsky five years ago, during which time he created more than a hundred works. The creation of each masterpiece takes from a week to several months, because the work is very painstaking - it is necessary to choose not only the colors, but also the texture of the wings, which would exactly correspond to the author's idea.
By the way, the original Russian experimental artist did not specifically study painting, even his profession is by no means creative. For many years Vadim Zaritsky worked in the police, taught ballistics, but he was always very sensitive to the beauty of the world around him. Today he is happy that, finally, he can devote himself not only to work, but also to realize his creative ambitions. Note that in terms of color and creativity, Vadim Zaritsky's works are very similar to Alexander Yurkov's Florian mosaic made of fallen leaves.
Note that the work of Vadim Zaritsky in no way contributes to a decrease in the population of butterflies in the world. Firstly, as we have already said, the artist uses the wings of already dead butterflies, and, secondly, according to entomologists, the rate of reproduction of butterflies is so high that they exceed the number of individuals who died "in the name of art". Rather, the work of our compatriot can be viewed as an attempt to capture the beauty. Vadim himself notes on this occasion that the butterfly lives for several weeks, while unusual paintings allow you to admire it for several years.
Considering the extraordinary paintings of Vadim Zaritsky, you understand that a real artist often does not need paints at all, because anything can serve as a material for creating a masterpiece. Confetti or colored pushpins, sand or bottle caps … there are no barriers to real creativity!

Unusual paintings by Georgian artist Merab Abramishvili
Georgian artist Merab Abramishvili is one of the few who painted all his paintings with tempera on gesso. Thanks to his extraordinary talent and laborious process, he managed to achieve a truly stunning effect of antiquity inherent in medieval frescoes. That is why most of his works are fanned by the religious and historical atmosphere that reigned in the distant past. In some of the author's works, oriental motifs are also clearly visible, telling stories about love, feelings and experiences
