All people are brothers, and black people are even bigger brothers to each other. And either fraternal unity is the reason, or something else played a role, but the modern New York artist Andrew Woolery in his unusual paintings depicts exclusively black people, both modern and already legendary pop culture idols. But this is not why his unusual paintings are at all. The fact is that the artist first draws them, and then complements and decorates them with such everyday objects as drawing and pushpins of various colors. Again pointillism, very fashionable lately, but in a slightly different interpretation. Instead of dots, there are hundreds of multi-colored buttons that make the picture three-dimensional, almost three-dimensional.

According to the artist, this creativity was inspired by the colorful rings of Fruit Loops, which he loves very much. First with paints and a brush, and then with dots-buttons, Andrew Woolery recreates on huge canvases portraits of such celebrities as Jay-Z and Kanye West, musician Jimi Hendrix and President Obama. In addition, Woolery created a giant copy of the $ 100 bill, titling his project "All About the Benjamins", replacing Benjamin Franklin's portrait with another Benjamin Banneker. As you know, Benjamin Banneker, who lived in the 18-19th century, is a free African American who was an experienced astronomer, mathematician, surveyor, farmer and writer, and the author of several almanacs.
