Israeli designer Peddy Mergui created a series of packaging for consumer products using the logos of world brands. His Wheat is Wheat is Wheat exhibition is currently held at the Museum of Craft and Design in San Francisco.
Milk from Apple, jars of yogurt from Tiffany, individually wrapped chicken eggs from Versace … It's at least unusual to see these logos on essential products. Through this unexpected fusion, Mergi explores the blurred and highly variable ethical boundaries of design within consumer culture. The purpose of the exhibition is to identify the problems that designers around the world face each time, working to increase economic interest in a particular product.
“As designers, we are constantly dealing with changes in product perception and value. Making meaning is at the heart of visual communication. However, is it right that buyers and designers are on opposite sides of the barricades? Is wheat still wheat? Why is Apple milk more attractive to the consumer? Does this mean that luxury goods are so popular with people because they add value to themselves? If those who come to the exhibition have these questions, then everything was not done in vain,”says Mergi.
Peddy Mergui was born in Morocco. When Peddy was still a child, his family moved to Israel. In 1996, after graduating from Polytechnic University of New York with a degree in graphic design, Mergi founded his own design studio, which he called Talking Brands.
Today the firm, which is headed by Mergi, is one of the leading design companies in Israel. Peddy successfully combines leadership with teaching - he lectures on branding and visual communication at the Holon Institute of Technology. Mergi now lives and works in Tel Aviv.
Designer Mike Frederiqo suggested an interesting series works of "Logos by Mike Frederiqo", which literally illustrates the metaphor "logo is the face of the company."

World famous couturiers, whose life ended mysteriously and suddenly: Gianni Versace, Maurizio Gucci and others
The names of many of these people were known throughout the world. They were rich and successful, had authority in the fashion world, and could live long lives. However, neither financial well-being nor fame can be a guarantee that there will be no envy or desire to take revenge on those who were less fortunate. The stakes turned out to be too high or the fear of losing some goods was strong. The lives of the best representatives of the fashion world are tragically cut short, and only the memory of those who were once the legislators of the style remains
What do logos really tell us? Honest Logos by Victor Hertz
In a world where discounts hide an expired or defective product, a gift means "we have included its cost in your check", and "even tastier and more aromatic" means that the recipe now contains an enhancer of taste and aroma, from time immemorial the slogan "if you don't cheat, you won't sell." But from the point of view of pessimists, everything happens exactly like this. In fact, life treats us the way we treat it, which is why designer Victor Hertz offers
Brand logos from brand logos: a project by Stefan Asafti
Are Pepsi and Coca-Cola so different in taste? Or, given the kind of war they are waging over the same niche in the market, is it all about the brand logo? While the closest competitors are running around to music around one chair, designer Stefan Asafti reflects on the fact that every Firefox has a share of the Internet Explorer, and that, remembering one, they will certainly remember the other
The brand is here, the brand is there
I do not want to praise the work done or edited in Photoshop. All this seems so unnatural, artificial … But when designers and artists do not set a goal to fix something in photography, but simply want to show us their idea - I think Photoshop can only help
